Clinical Effect of Permixon^(¢ç) in Patients with Chronic Baceterial and Nonbacterial Prostatitis

Abstract
In general chronic bacterial prostatitis is difficult to cure permanently and since the cause of nonbacterial prostatitis is unknown, prevention and cure are not possible. So in cases of them, symptomatic treatment is important and may be a goal.
Permixon¢ç a liposterolic extract of the palm tree Serenoa Repens, has been reported to possess antiandrogen property and inhibiting activity of prostaglandin synthesis.
Clinical effect of Permixon¢ç was studied in 33 patients of chronic bacterial and nonbacterial prostatitis. The results revealed significant improvement of perineal pain, tenesmus, frequency, hesitancy, painful voiding and other symptoms. No significant side effect noted.
